A thirty-nine-year old Trion man is facing multiple charges after he shut the door in the face of deputies and then refused to leave a residence.  Later, the suspect refused to get out of the patrol car when he arrived at the Chattooga County Jail.

According to a report released on Thursday by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Trammel was involved in a domestic dispute and deputies were called to a residence in Trion.  When they arrived, Trammel shut the door on the deputies.  After entering the house with the permission of other family members, deputies had to physically removed Trammell who was found sitting in a chair.

Deputies say that Trammel resisted arrest and continued to try to “jerk away” from deputies as they attempted to cuff him.  Once at the jail, Trammel continued to struggle with deputies as they physically removed him from the patrol car and escorted him inside.

Trammel was arrested for criminal trespass and obstructing law enforcement.
