According to the Georgia State Patrol, thirty-five-year-old Joshua Brown of Trion was operating a 1986 Honda Moped and was traveling east on Halls Valley and lost control of the moped while negotiating a curve to the right.   The driver traveled on the north side of Halls Valley and down an embankment where the driver came off the bike.

Brown was pronounced deceased on the scene by Chattooga County Coroner Earl Rainwater.
