An audit of the septic dumping process of the City of Summerville’s wastewater treatment plant shows an discrepancy of $1800.

That information was revealed by the city manager in the regular monthly meeting of the council Monday night. We spoke to City Manager Russell Thompson on the findings who said the the problem area was collections and receipts and he could not comment at this time as to the reason why. 

 

In other business Monday night, the council  tabled a date for the annual 4th of July celebration; and approved William D. Patty Construction to clean the sedimentation pond at the water treatment plant for $16,000. The other bid on this service was for $35,050 from ALLSOUTH Env. Services.  The sedimentation pond is be cleaned annually.
