A Summerville woman called police last week after she was bitten by a dog on Curran Street.  According to police, the woman said she was walking down the street when the dog jumped the fence and bit her on the thigh.  The woman said that she fell backwards during the attack and injured her tailbone.  The woman refused to be taken in for medical treatment.  Police found the owner of the dog and called animal control to put the dog in quarantine, which is standard practice in dog-bite incidents.
