The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department was called to an apartment complex in Summerville last week after a tenant complained about a neighbor’s dogs chasing and barking at her children.

The complainant told the responding deputy that her children were outside when the neighbor’s two dogs, a chihuahua and a poodle, began to act aggressive towards her children.  The complainant said that the neighbors had told her that the dogs were just playing with the children, but the woman wanted a report on file.  The responding deputy noted in the report that while the apartment complex allows pets, they are supposed to be kept on a leash at all times.

The deputy told the complainant that a report about the incident would be on file at the sheriff’s department for future reference.
