Vendor space is still available for Down Home Farm Day set for Saturday at Dowdy Park in Summerville. It's one of many events held at the park this fall to celebrate the City's Steam Into Summerville Railroad Days. Those in attendance can watch the Tennessee Valley Railway steam engine come into town, let out about 175 passengers from Chattanooga, and then turn around at Dowdy Park.

The Chattooga County 4-H will have exhibits, educational games and information on Farm Safety as well as a petting zoo with calves, baby goats and a baby alpaca.

Farm Bureau will have a story telling booth and games for children.

The Summerville Middle School FFA Program (Lauren Jarrett) will have Dairy Exhibits and will bring a baby dairy calf.  There will be a contest to name the calf.

Scott Kiger will have a Blacksmith exhibit

Boys and Girls Club will have a "mini carnival" tent with old-fashioned games for the kids to raise funds for the local club

Organizers encourage those with antique tractors to bring the tractors for display.

Food, Arts and Crafts vendors are welcome and there's still space available. To sign up contact Summerville Recreation Center at 706.859.0910.  The event is free and there is no charge for vendors.
