
LaFayette Police arrested a man after a consent search of his vehicle turned up drugs.
WQCH in LaFayette reported that when police asked for consent to search and the man stepped out of his vehicle, he had a pistol in his back pocket. Police retrieved the pistol from the man for the officers safety while conducting the search.
The search turned up synthetic opiod fentanyl and thirty-nine-year-old Jacob Gregory Copeland of LaFayette was charged with possession of a schedule two drug and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
