A twenty-four-year-old Summerville man was arrested over the weekend after neighbors complained about him being outside in the early morning hours  while he was drunk and disturbing the peace.

Summerville Police said that they received complaints about the man and went to a Givens Street address and warned him to go inside and leave his neighbors alone.  Shortly after 5 AM on Sunday morning, police received another dispatch from Chattooga 911 about the man disturbing the peace.

When they arrived on the scene, a man identified as “Raymond” told police that the suspect was in the house asleep.  Police asked to see the suspect and Raymond let them inside the residence.  Once inside they found the suspect, who police say was pretending to be asleep.  Police determined that both Raymond and the suspect were not telling the truth based on the number of complaints from neighbors.

David Eugene Bray continued to protest his innocence, but contradicted himself when he told police he had been outside looking for a very expensive dog, worth $2000.

Bray was arrested for disorderly conduct and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
