On Saturday of last week, Summerville Police responded to a domestic incident on Dry Valley Road in reference to an intoxicated man who was harassing his girlfriend.

When officers arrived on the scene they found Daniel Hickman drinking a Bud Light.  Officers said that Hickman was already intoxicated when they arrived.  The officers spoke with family members who said that Hickman had been using foul and derogatory language towards his girlfriend.  When officers asked Hikcman, he said there was no problem and tried to get his girlfriend to talk to him in front of police.  The girlfriend said she wanted Hickman to leave hear alone.

Hickman failed to comply with officers lawful orders and at one point attempted to flee from police.  He was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of law enforcement.
