Summerville Police were summoned by the sheriff’s office this week in reference to a man who said his keys had been stolen.
The complainant had called the sheriff’s office to report that a woman had taken the keys to his cars. Since the complainant was in the city limits of Summerville, the sheriff’s office requested that a city police officer respond.
When a responding officer spoke with the complainant, he identified the woman he believed was responsible for taking his keys. As officers spoke with the man, they detected a strong smell of alcohol and determined he was drunk.
A police officer spoke with the woman in question she said that the complainant often accused her of taking his keys when he was drunk, but that she didn’t have them.
The complainant requested a written report so he could take the incident to magistrate court.
