In their weekly accident report, the Georgia State Patrol post in Rome reported a single vehicle accident in Chattooga County that resulted in the driver receiving a citation for driving under the influence.
According to the report, 24 year old William Grant Walker was traveling east on Center Post Road when he lost control of the 1984 Chevy Caprice he was driving and left the road way in a curve. The report stated that the vehicle traveled over 114 feet before overturning. Walker told troopers that some deer had run into his path.
Walker was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Failure to Maintain a Single Lane.
