Law enforcement officials in Chattooga County served a multitude of old warrants on Thursday, some as old as five years back. Captain Ken Anderson told the Summerville News on Thursday that three people were arrested during the operation and Sheriff John Everett said that one person was arrested with a felony amount of drugs.


The Sheriffs Department along with the canine unit of the Georgia Department of Corrections, the Georgia State Patrol and the Department of Natural Resources and probation officers all participated In the sting that started at 5:30 on Thursday morning. Officials also verified the residences of 25 listed sex offenders living in the county.


According to Captain Ken Anderson, there are 650 residents in Chattooga County on probation and 155 people on parole.
