Today is the first day for Early Voting in the November 3rd General Election.  Chattooga County voters can go to the Chattooga County Registrars Office located on Commerce Street, just south of the Chattooga County Courthouse to cast their early ballot.

Early voting for all precincts takes place at the Registrars Office.  You can vote from 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday.  If you work through the week and can’t get to the Registrars Office to vote early on a weekday, Saturday voting will be available on October 24th.

There are six unchallenged Republicans and two unchallenged Democrats on the ballot locally.  In contested races, voters will choose between Republican Blake Elsberry and Democrat Jimmy Holbrook for sole commissioner and between Republican Gary Woods and Independent Holley Strawn-Gilliland for probate judge.

Voters will also be voting for President of the United States and two United States Senator seats.  In the 14th District Congressional Race, the Democrat who would have faced-off with Republican Marjorie Greene, dropped out of the race.

Be sure to bring a picture I.D. when you come to vote.
