Early voting starts today across across Georgia, and here in Chattooga County, voters will be able to vote early at the Chattooga County Registrar Office located just south of the Courthouse on Commerce Street in downtown Summerville.
Early voting hours this week are from 8:30 AM until 5 PM. Voters will also have the opportunity to vote this Saturday from 9 AM until 5 PM and again on Saturday, May 14th from 9 AM until 5 PM. Voters are reminded to bring an acceptable form of photo ID when you come to vote.
Remember, you must choose either a Democratic, Republican or non-partisan ballot when you vote in a Primary Election. If you choose a non-partisan ballot, you will not see the names of local candidates who are running for seats on the Chattooga Board of Education, or those who are running for statewide or Federal offices, since all those candidates must declare party when they run.
There are different ballots for Trion residents, since voters inside the city limits of Trion are not able to vote in the county school board races.
