At the December meeting of the Summerville City Council, the city awarded a bid to Northwest Georgia Paving Company to repave Economy Street.  The street has been rough to travel for several months since sewer repair work was done last fall.  Area residents and businesses have been complaining about the condition of the street since the city has been slow in getting it repaved.  The first bidding process for the repaving of the street brought contention between two local paving companies.  The second time the work was bid out, neither one of the local companines bid on repaving the street.  Northwest Georgia Paving Company is based in Calhoun.
