Summerville Middle School eight grade students will be taking an educational trip next month. The 2011 "StudyCade Trip"  for 8th grade students is a five-day, four-night trek across Georgia May 9 through 13. The teacher chaperones for the trip are Ms. Osborne, Mr. Nelson, and Mr. Batchelor. The trip includes creating an educational documentary concerning:

• Andersonville Civil War Museum
• Cumberland Island National Seashore
• Okefenokee Swamp
• Historic Savannah Square and Ghost Tour
• Tybee Island and Colonial Georgia sites
• First African Baptist Church (part of the Underground Railroad)
