LaFayette Police have charged an elderly Walnut Grove area man on sexual misconduct charges after several women filed complaints about incidents that allegedly took place at Wal-Mart in LaFayette.

Police say that eighty-two-year-old Ross Everett Evitt of a Walnut Grove Road address in Walker County is accused of inappropriately touching the women.  All three women say that the incidents took place while they were shopping at Wal-Mart.

Evitt was arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail.  Police reports did not give specific details but did state, “the charge involves intentional physical contact with intimate parts of another person, without their consent.”
