Adairsville-based Elevated Steel and the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority have finalized an agreement for the purchase of land in the North Floyd Industrial Park, a move expected to bring around 100 new jobs to the area.

The company is paying $1,307,500 for 37 acres in the industrial park at the intersection of Highways 53 and 140.

According to Rome-Floyd County Development Authority President and CEO Spencer Hogg, Elevated Steel had originally planned to purchase 24 acres. After additional engineering studies, however, the company determined it needed a larger site. That earlier agreement was terminated, and a new deal for 37 acres was approved Tuesday.

Hogg said the revised layout will provide Elevated Steel with the space it needs now while also allowing room for future growth.

Elevated Steel describes itself as a turnkey structural steel partner, offering design, fabrication, coating, and installation services. The company says its broad capabilities and customer-focused approach allow it to adapt to changing customer needs while delivering a high level of service on every project.

In addition to the land purchase, Elevated Steel is planning a major investment in equipment totaling about $13 million.

Following the closing of the sale, the company hopes to begin work on the project later this year.

The announcement marks another significant industrial investment for Floyd County, with new jobs, expanded manufacturing capacity, and long-term growth potential tied to the development.
