Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry was one of sixty-three people chosen from across the state to be a part of the 2023 Leadership Georgia class.  Members of the class must be nominated and then go through a selection process.

According to Leadership Georgia, “Each year, the selection process strives for a balance of participants from every corner of the state as well as those from all walks of life – including different occupations, gender, culture and race. The central belief and philosophy behind this diversity goal is that each Leadership Georgia class can learn so much more from each other’s different perspectives as well as how to work together as one united force for Georgia’s best future.”

The program encourages participation by both the person selected and their spouse . “Each class year runs from January to December and exists of five two-and-a-half day programs.  Leadership Georgia’s programs are designed for spousal participation, and spouses are strongly encouraged to attend”, according to Leadership Georgia.

The cost for the class is $3,500.
