Reno Lambert, the administrator at Oakview Health & Rehabilitation in Summerville, told WZQZ News on Friday that a worker at the facility has tested positive for COVID-19.

Unlike many nursing facilities in Northwest Georgia, Oakview has not had any patient cases of COVID-19 during the pandemic.  The news came on Friday of last week that a “four-hour employee” had tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Mr. Lambert the employee was last at work on July 11, 2020 and had not been to the facility since.

Mr. Lambert said, “The employee is quarantined at home per the CDC guidelines. We immediately notified all of our family members and residents. We have followed the CDC guidelines precisely and will continue to.”

Lambert added that Oakview will be testing all patients again in the upcoming days.
