Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 earlier in the week that he has scheduled a second public meeting regarding the future of the Chattooga County EMS. The meeting will be held on Monday, January 17 at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Highway 48 in Summerville. 

Commissioner Winters said that he plans to compare the proposals submitted by Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center and to present numbers on the cost for the county to operate and expand EMS service. The commissioner said that he will also be presenting several “what if” scenarios. 

Winters met with EMS personnel earlier this week.
