The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce is inviting anyone interested in estate planning to attend this month’s Chamber luncheon that is scheduled for next Tuesday, January 18th at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Highway 48 in Summerville.

According to the UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences, estate planning involves accumulating assets, protecting assets and distributing assets to your heirs during life and/or death. Some people do a good job of accumulating and protecting assets, but not many do a good job of distributing those assets to their heirs, especially after death.

Chattooga County Extension Agent Rebecca Thomas, along with Chattooga County Probate Judge Gary Woods, will be the featured speakers at the chamber luncheon and will talk about the importance of estate planning.
