The Chattooga County Sheriff's office received complaints on Saturday that someone was shooting off explosives in the area of Price Bridge Road and the blasts shook houses in the area.

According to the report, when officers arrived they heard gun shots and one or two loud bangs. Two men reportedly were located in a field off Price Bridge road. One of the men said he and friends had been using legal explosives called Tannerite. He said they usually camp out on his family's property most weekends and shoot guns, and this was the first time they had used explosives. Officers told him they had received complaints from neighbors. The report does not indicate if deputies verified the legality of the explosives.
