It’s that time of the year when the bounty from home gardens and local produce from farmer’s markets get people to thinking about home food preservation.   The Chattooga County Extension Office is here to help if you are new to food preservation.

The local Extension Office will be offering a Home Canning class coming up later this month.  There will be an in-person class, but you can also take advantage of the class online if you prefer.  In-person classes will be held at the Chattooga County Ag Building on Middle School Road in Summerville.  To register for in-person classes, you will need to call the Extension Office at 706-857-0744 and register.
