One drivers failure to yield at a green light lead to a car crash on Tuesday night.
A wreck at the red light near Jacks lead to minor injuries for one driver on Tuesday night. Megan Lowe was traveling Northbound on Highway 27 and had the green light at the intersection of Commerce Avenue and Farrar Drive. Madison Day was traveling Southbound and attempted to make a left hand turn onto Farrar Drive. While both drivers claimed to have the green light, Days failure to yield resulted in the 2 vehicles colliding. Day claimed that Lowe didn’t immediately start through the intersection, causing her to believe that she was being allowed to make the left hand turn. When Day went to make the left hand turn, Lowe was already coming through the intersection. Both vehicles sustained damage and had to be removed from the scene via a wrecker. Lowe requested to be taken to be checked via ambulance, while Day stated that she was fine. Madison Day was found at fault for Failure to Yield.
