A Menlo convenience store clerk reportedly took a counterfeit bill last week.18. Betty Austin reported on Friday, Jan. 18, that she was working the morning shift at the store. She said a juvenile came into the store and bought gas and paid with a $10 bill. She said she told the juvenile the $10 was fake and he told her to throw it away and he left the store. Investigator Caroline Cobb took the fake bill as evidence.
