A falling tree limb took one local driver by surprise this week, when the decayed limb hit their car, causing damage.

Summerville resident, Lisa Parks, was traveling down Rome Boulevard around the 9000 block, when something struck her windshield. A decayed tree limb fell at the moment she passed under it, busting the upper portion of the windshield on the passenger side, along with a small dent above the drivers side door. Officers observed the offending, splintered limb in the roadway. A report was placed on file for the driver.
