On June 8th around 8:00 pm, a woman came to the Chattooga County Jail to report a signature forging.

The woman had checked her bank account balance online, only to discover that there was a significant difference in the amount she had estimated. She began to balance her checkbook and check the transactions that had been made from her account online. She then saw that her son had been forging her signature to write himself checks. She printed copies of the checks and saw that he had made them out to himself for yard and house work.

The collected amount of all of the checks added up to about $4600.

She also found a notepad in her son's room where he had been practicing her signature, along with a PlayStation 4 game console.
