One person died in a single-vehicle crash in Cherokee County, Alabama over the weekend.

WEIS Radio in Centre reported that the crash happened at the intersection of Cherokee County Road 91 and Cherokee County Road 635,  located just north of Gaylesville High School.   According to reports there were four other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident in addition to the one fatality.  All four of those were hospitalized from injuries received during the crash.

One person had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Names have not been released and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continues the investigation.
