A fifty-one-year-old Sylacauga, Alabama man lost his life in neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama this week after a motorcycle accident involving a deer.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division reports that Joey S. Wooten was traveling on DeKalb County Road 81, about 3 miles south of Forty Payne on a 1995 Suzuki Savage motorcycle when a deer struck the motorcycle.
Wooten was transported to the DeKalb Regional Hospital in Forty Payne but succumbed to his injuries.
The Alabama Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
