A county sheriff’s deuty was dispatched to 179 W. Spring Creek Road in reference to a residential fire on November 8th.

When he arrived, fire crews were already putting the fire out. He was informed that Vera Alexander, who had called 9-1-1, that when she saw smoke coming from her microwave, she took it outside. When she went back inside, however, Alexander realized that the receptacle was smoking.

A friend of Alexander’s came over and essentially convinced her that it was not a big deal; she told Alexander that the receptacle might smoke for a few days and that it was just a wiring problem. However, a short time later, the wall had caught fire and begun to spread.
