The Fellowship of Christian Athletes announced a new regional vice-president who took over his new post on May 1st. Jason Lester has been serving as the multi-area director for the organization.
“Jason will transition from his current role as Multi-Area Director for North Georgia and will take the mantle of leadership from Dicky Clark, who for the past 23 years has served and led in our ministry at the highest level,” said Bob Wiedemann, FCA’s U.S. South Division Vice President. “Dicky, in following the lead of the Holy Spirit, feels that now is the time to ‘pass the baton’ to the leader God has raised up for this time and is excited to begin the next season of ministry.”
Clark has words of high praise for his successor.
“Jason has been a tremendous grower of staff and ministry in our region for many years,” Clark said. “He leads well because his heart is for serving his staff first and foremost. He has earned this opportunity, and I along with many others look forward to serving under his leadership.”
Lester has served on FCA staff since 2006 after a 13-year career as a teacher and coach. He has a true passion to see coaches and athletes grow in their relationship with Jesus. Jason and his wife, April, have three daughters: Lindsey, Bailey and Alli Jay.
“I am extremely humbled to have the opportunity to serve the great FCA staff in Georgia,” Lester said.
