February was a busy month for the Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Highlights included the Scouting for Food community service project. The council is now headed into Pinewood Derby season. It is a time of year during which Cub Scouts build and race wooden cars.

Races will take place among each Cub Scout pack throughout the next few weeks with a Pinewood Derby late in the season for the full Etowah Council, which includes Bartow, Chattooga, Floyd, and Polk Counties.

Pinewood Derby season will be followed by camping season for all scouts.
