Summerville Police were called to Summerville Gardens apartments this week after a woman said that a mattress frame had been stolen from her front porch.

The complainant told a responding officer that she was returning the frame to Walmart and had called FedEx to pick up the package.  The woman said that she had contacted both Walmart and FedEx after she did not receive a credit for the returned item.  The complainant told the officer that the box was not picked up by FedEx and Walmart had no record of its return.

The complainant also said that she knew that Summerville Gardens had security cameras that might identify who took the package.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
