If you are going to get into a fight with someone, it's probably not advisable to do so in the probation office.  That's exactly what happened Wednesday morning and one person left the Chattooga County Courthouse in handcuffs, another in an ambulance.

According to witnesses, a man was in the probation office when he got into an altercation with another civilian at the office.  As the fight ensued one man was on the floor with the other kicking him.  Witnesses told AM 1180 that at one point a deputy drew his weapon as he attempted to break up the fight.

Names have not been released, and the condition of the man sent to the hospital is not known at this time.  We will have more information when it is available.
