The Rome post of the Georgia State Patrol had no fatalities to report over the Thanksgiving Holiday traffic period which began on Friday and ran through Sunday night at midnight.

There was one fatality reported by the LaFayette Post of the Georgia State Patrol and neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama had one fatality that occured on Saturday afternoon when a Snellville, Georgia  woman was killed in a single vehicle accident on Highway 117 about a mile from the Chattooga County Line.
