Chattooga County voters are entering their final opportunity to participate in advance in-person voting as the deadline for the current election approaches this Friday.
Advance voting, which has been underway for several weeks, continues today through October 31, 2025, offering residents a final chance to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day. Voters wishing to utilize this option must do so at the Chattooga County Registrars Office, located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville.
The Registrars Office will serve as the sole polling site for early in-person voting throughout this week. The final day for Advance Voting is officially designated as Friday, October 31, 2025.
State, Tax Measures, and Municipal Races
Voters in Chattooga County are casting ballots that includes races for the Georgia Public Service Commission.
Additionally, residents are being asked to weigh in on two distinct sales tax options.
Also, four Chattooga County municipalities—Lyerly, Menlo, Summerville, and Trion—are holding municipal elections, determining the leadership and direction of their respective cities. Voters in those elections need to cast ballots at their respective city or town halls.
Preparedness for Election Day
County election officials remind the public that the deadline to request an Absentee by Mail Ballot for this election has already passed. Voters who have not yet secured their ballot must use the remaining advance voting days or wait for Election Day.
Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
On Election Day, all voting will shift away from the Registrars Office and return to local, designated precincts.
Voters are encouraged to take advantage of this final week of early access at the Registrars Office, particularly those who face scheduling conflicts on Election Day.
