The Summerville, Trion and Hayes Correctional Fire Departments were called to a fire at Mt. Vernon Mills early this morning and then once again around noon today.  AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News spoke with Mt. Vernon Mills and they confirmed that there was no major damage involved with either call.  The fire reportedly started in the spinning department and came through the ducts to the weaving department. 

The Lyerly, Trion, Summerville and Hayes Correctional Fire Departments were also called to Mohawk today but there was no damage to report from the mill.
