A LaFayette family lost their home to fire Saturday morning. The LaFayette Fire Department was dispatched to 903 Colerain Street and Walker Fire Rescue was requested for mutual aid.

The single-story wood frame house had heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the structure when the arrived around 9:30 a.m. Cause of the fire is believed to be a faulty electrical device.

The Red Cross was called to assist the displaced family.
