Last Saturday, a Chattooga County Deputy responded to a call on the Gore Subligna Road about a firearm that had been found.  When the deputy arrived, he spoke with a motorist who said that he spotted the firearm on the road and stopped to pick it up.  The gun was a 9mm Smith & Wesson.  The numbers on the firearm were ran through the statewide database and came back as not stolen.  The gun was put in the evidence locker at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
