A Dry Creek Road man reported on Monday that his gun was missing from under his Mattress. Henry "Gary" Pitts told Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies that he had last seen the gun around 3 p.m. January 11 and noticed it was missing at 9:30 p.m. on February 11. Pitts reportedly told deputies that only one person knew where the fun was located and had asked several questions about buying the gun. Pitts said he has a vicious dog and the person he suspects had befriended the dog and would have had access to the residence. Items reported missing are a black Feg .380 firearm, valued at $300 and a tan leather holster valued at $50.  The theft was turned over to investigators.
