Five people were arrested on drug charges, following the execution of a search warrant by agents of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. According to information contained in a News Release from Sheriff Jeff Shaver – those agents, along with deputies and investigators, conducted a search at the home of Timothy Lynn Plunkett, on County Road 159 in the Forney community.

Those arrested at the scene included: Plunkett, age 49 of Rockmart, Georgia; 40 year old Sundai Michele Woodard of Topeka, Kansas; 54 year old Sherry Yvonne Broom of Cedartown, Georgia and 46 year old Steven Edward Hicks, from Cobb County, Georgia. Each was charged with 1st Degree Trafficking Methamphetamine, the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

These individuals are currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center – each on a bond of $105,500. Also – 40 year old Sheila Wheeler of Paulding County, Georgia, was charged with Attempting to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and has since been released on bond.
