Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton has advertised five properties that will be included in the April Tax Sale on the Chattooga County Courthouse steps in Summerville.
The tax sale is set for the first Tuesday in April which falls on April 5, 2022.
The Tax Commissioner says that the person with the highest bid at the tax sale will get a tax deed to the property.
Tax Commissioner Hampton reminds potential bidders that the sale is “buyer beware and all property will be sold as is.” The Tax Commissioner “makes no warranty, neither expressed nor implied, as to title, and all properties are subject to all recorded covenants, easements, and right of ways. Properties are sold under the power of a tax sale deed with specific rights of redemption.”
Properties on Back Penn Road, at Fields Walk, Church Street in Trion, First Street in Trion and on Greeson Street are all advertised for next month’s tax sale.
