This will be Coker’s second run against Mullis.  According to the Walker County Democratic Party web site, Coker said his main goals as state senator will be seeing that rural areas of Northwest Georgia have water as well as unfair taxation for seniors, health coverage for handicapped children, programs to deal with substance abuse and easing the burden of unfunded mandates to local school boards.  Mullis, who is a strong supporter of Governor Sonny Perdue, will be seeking his fourth term as state senator representing Chattooga, Walker, Dade and a portion of Catoosa County.
