Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 late Friday afternoon that both Redmond Regional Medical Center and Floyd Medical Center have submitted their proposals for providing ambulance service for Chattooga County.  Commissioner Winters had set a deadline of December 10th, yesterday, for the proposals to be in-hand.

Winters said that the public will get to hear from both Floyd and Redmond as they presents their proposals for the county at a public meeting to be held at the Chattooga County Civic Center in Summerville this coming Tuesday evening at 6 PM.  Commissioner Winters also plans to show how much it would cost for the county to increase ambulance service on its own.

Last month AM 1180 spoke with the commissioner about the issue in a Newsmakers Interview program.  We will air the program coming up today at 10:15 AM.
