A Floyd County man remained in jail Wednesday without bond after his arrest on rape and child molestation charges, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Christopher Shawn Johnson, 36, is accused of “having carnal knowledge of a female child forcibly and against her will” in an incident at a residence on Chulio Road between July 2023 and March 2024. He charged with felony rape and child molestation among other charges.

This is not the first time this year that Johnson has been charged for abusing children.

In March, Johnson and 31-year-old Hannah Marie Johnson struck a child several times on the buttocks, hips, and upper legs with a belt.

The injuries prevented the child from being able to lie down and sleep. Johnson was also accused of punching the child in the face causing injuries to the victim’s ears and cheeks, as well as lacerations inside the child’s mouth.

The incidents occurred at the couple’s Chulio Road residence, according to the warrants.
