A Floyd County man died in a tragic farm tractor accident over the weekend.

According to Deputy Floyd County Coroner Brent Whatley, Joseph Hunter Ricks, age 21 of a Ward Mountain Road address was bush hogging a field near the intersection of Highway 140 and Highway 53 when he slipped off the equipment and was run over.

Ricks was pronounced dead from the injuries.
