Charles Bowman is back in custody at the Floyd County Jail after walking off a work detail on Wednesday.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office made the following statement:

“We’d like to thank all the news agencies for quickly sharing the previous press release and citizens that also helped us spread the word! Thank you to the Fugitive Task Force, Floyd County Prison, Department of Corrections, RPD, FCPD, GSP & Norfolk Southern for assisting us in a quick capture.”

On the morning of January 12, 2022, an inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Charles Richard Bowman, left his outside detail at the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.  Bowman was back in custody by Wednesday afternoon.
