Floyd Medical Center has issued a letter in support of the Rome City Commission’s recent vote to require facial covering in public places where social distancing is not feasible.

The statement that was released on Tuesday of this week, follows a decision by the Rome City Commissioners to require masks to be worn unless a business posts a statement saying that masks are not required.

Floyd Medical Center said in the statement, “We are confident that masking helps slow the spread of COVID-19 and is an important step in reversing this trend.”
