AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported on Friday afternoon that Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters said that an article in the Rome News Tribune on Friday that implied Floyd Medical Center was not asked for a proposal on providing EMS Service for Chattooga County  was in error.  Commissioner Winters said that the spokesperson had "misspoke" and that he recieved a call from Floyd Medical Center confirming their proposal.

On Sunday, the Rome News Tribune reported that Floyd Medical Center EMS Director Bud Owens said that the spokesperson quoted in Friday’s article "was not in the loop" about the proposal for Chattooga County ambulance service.  Owens said that a proposal had been prepared for Chattooga County but that it did not include a cost analysis.

On Tuesday Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters will be in the AM 1180 studios for a Newsmakers Interview concerning the Chattooga County EMS.
